10 Father's Day Gift Ideas and Military Discounts
The third Sunday of every June is dedicated to the celebration of dads. Father’s Day is the perfect time to let the special dads in our lives know how much they’re loved and appreciated.
But what do fathers really want? Here are some ideas for the military dad in your family, along with some great deals so pampering him won’t break your bank.
It’s probably no coincidence that Father’s Day coincides with summertime, which is the prime season for one of dad’s favorite pastimes: golf.
Through Birdies for the Brave, the PGA TOUR offers free and discounted tickets to select PGA TOUR events for veterans, retirees, and active duty.
The United States Golf Association (USGA) is offering active military personnel complimentary Grounds tickets during the practice rounds of the U.S. Open Championship (Monday, June 13 through Wednesday, June 15). They’re also offering discounted practice-round Grounds tickets for retired service members. These dates fall before Father’s Day, but this can count as an early celebration.

Is Dad a baseball fan? Many Major League Baseball teams, including the Washington Nationals, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Houston Astros, offer a military discount on tickets throughout the season. If he doesn’t already have one, he probably wants one. And the man cave just isn’t the same without certain must-haves.
