The following are organizations who are making a special effort to recognize Veterans Day by donating a portion of their sales to veteran causes or featuring special programs that give back to veterans and their families during the month of November 2020. Companies that are giving back to the military include:
Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant - Abuelo’s is teaming up with Honor Flight, an organization which transports America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honoring those who have served and sacrificed for our country. In all locations, Abuelo’s will donate $1 to Honor Flight for every Chile con Queso appetizer sold from Nov. 7. – Nov. 11.
BUBS Naturals - pays tribute to fallen Navy SEAL Glen “Bub” Doherty by donating 10% of proceeds from every sale to the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation, but on Veteran’s Day, the company donates 100% of proceeds. The Collagen Protein and MCT Oil Powder was founded by Glen’s best friend, Sean Lake, in Glen’s Memory - as a way to keep his legacy alive.
Casey’s General Stores - Throughout November, customers can help provide assistance and scholarships to veterans and their families through two nonprofit organizations, Hope For The Warriors and Children of Fallen Patriots, by rounding-up their purchases. In addition, $1 will be donated for every online or in-app purchase of a large pizza and 2-liter Pepsi® brand drink, up to $50,000 total.
Clean Republic - 20 percent of all Clean Republic’s organic cleaning solutions, including their All-Purpose Cleaner, EPA approved Disinfectant + Sanitizer, and their Hand Cleanser will be donated to the Vermont Adaptive on Veteran’s Day. Clean Republic already donated 100 gallons of their Disinfectant + Sanitizer to help clean their equipment, clean their partnering resorts and keep all participants safe.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® - Cracker Barrel announced it will donate a $10 Cracker Barrel gift card to Operation Homefront for each Country Fried Turkey Family Meal Basket sold in the month of November (up to $50,000), and the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Foundation will make an additional $50,000 donation to Operation Homefront – totaling up to $100,000 to support military families this holiday season.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit - From Nov. 9-15, when guests make a purchase through dickeys.com or the Dickey’s App, they will have the option to add one, five or 10 Pulled Pork Classic Sandwiches to be delivered to local Veteran organizations. The Dickey family has also pledged to match every sandwich donated to double the efforts to feed Veterans.
Dunkin’ - Dunkin’ is making a $10,000 donation to A Million Thanks and is giving customers the chance to show their appreciation to veterans by crafting their own digital letters via Dunkin’s Instagram story on Monday, November 9. Digital letters will be printed and mailed to active military members within the A Million Thanks community. Dunkin’ is also extending its support to military families by gifting the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation a $25,000 grant, and Dunkin’ fans can treat veterans and active service members to a coffee break at DunkinCoffeeBreak.com by sending an e-gift card, available in special Veterans Day designs.
Feltman’s of Coney Island - From Friday November 6th through Veterans Day, Wednesday November 11th, Feltman’s of Coney Island, (a veteran owned & operated Gold Star family business) will be donating 100% of their online sales proceeds to Headstrong, a nonprofit that provides free mental healthcare to veterans suffering from PTSD and related military trauma.
ISlide Sandal Company - ISlide is celebrating retired service men and women this Veteran’s Day through a partnership with Operation Hat Trick to support injured veterans and service members through a line of custom co-branded slides and socks. ISlide is debuted a new collection of slides featuring the OHT logo, as well as the logos of favorite college teams. Proceeds from sales of the slides will support OHT’s mission to increase awareness support and funding for the recovery of wounded service members and veterans. O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar - Now through Veterans’ Day (November 11), each guest who donates $5 on their dine-in check will receive a $5 voucher toward a future in-store purchase. Guests who donate $5 online will get $5 off their next order with 100% of all donations going directly to beneficiaries, as all administrative costs are paid by corporate sponsors. The fundraiser benefits The Folded Flag Foundation, the non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships and support grants to the families of our country’s fallen heroes.
Pep Boys - Pep Boys is returning as a national sponsor of the Toys for Tots program. By November 1, 2020, Toys for Tots collection bins will be placed in nearly 1,000 Pep Boys locations. Customers will be invited to participate, with toy donors receiving a thank you in the form of a 25% discount on floor merchandise and/or service purchases.* Customers can also make a monetary donation by giving $1, $5, or $10 at the cash register. Pep Boys is also pledging a $25,000 donation to Toys for Tots and, over the holiday season,** employees will work with our U.S. Marines and volunteers to collect and distribute toys. Pilot Company - Now through Dec. 31, guests visiting any of the 750 company-operated stores in the U.S., including participating Pilot and Flying J travel centers and One9 Fuel Network stores, can opt to round-up purchases to the nearest whole dollar and donate the additional amount to Wreaths Across America. Pilot Company is also donating $20,000 and contributing $20,000 from the round-up campaign to support the Wreaths Across America ceremonies in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Punchbowl E-Cards - the team at Punchbowl, a digital invitation and greeting card site, have created several free patriotic greeting card designs as a way to virtually give thanks to those who have served our country. Some cards include an option to upload your own photo as well.
Starbucks - Starbucks will donate 25 cents for every cup of hot brewed coffee sold nationwide on November 11 to military nonprofits Team Red, White & Blue and Headstrong, to support the mental health and wellbeing of military communities.
