The National WWII Museum is one of the greatest cultural assets we have in the United States, both memorializing the men and women who contributed to the war effort and educating new generations about the stakes of the conflict.

The museum is set to premiere an outdoor multimedia experience called "Expressions of America" on Veterans Day 2022. Actor Gary Sinise hosts the program, which highlights the impact that individuals had during a time of war.

Sinise has been one of America's greatest supporters of military veterans since he played the role of Lt. Dan Taylor in the 1995 Best Picture Oscar-winning movie "Forrest Gump." His Gary Sinise Foundation has honored veterans and supported the families of fallen warriors, plus he has entertained thousands of troops with performances from his group, the Lt. Dan Band.

Sinise explained why he has worked so closely with the museum and why he's glad to have joined them for "Expressions of America" in a new video.

The program seems to be a hybrid of a documentary, art installation and musical concert. The presentation will take place outdoors on the Col. Battle Barksdale Parade Ground and will use projection mapping of the museum's buildings alongside the latest multimedia technology to feature wartime letters and oral histories in an exciting new way. There's also an original musical score that features 1940s-era songs performed by New Orleans's legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

There are a couple of ways to experience the show. Standard tickets are $39, with a $3 discount for seniors and a $7 discount for students and those with military ID. Children under 5 and World War II veterans are free. There will be food and cocktails available for purchase.

There's also a premium dinner package, featuring a three-course meal and two cocktails or beverages. There's also reserved balcony seating for the best view of the event. Standard tickets are $99, with a $3 discount for seniors and a $7 discount for students and those with military ID. WWII veteran tickets are $55.

Tickets are available at this link. "Expressions of America" will be a permanent addition to the museum's offerings and looks worth the trip in New Orleans.
