Registration Opens for Military.com Salary Cap Football
In Military.com's Salary Cap Football, you're the General Manager of your very own football team. We give you 20 million fantasy dollars to build your team who will score points for you based on how they play in real-life football games. And, even better, with Military.com's Salary Cap Football, along with competing for individual honors and great prizes, you get to pick the branch of service you want to play for. Want Navy to crush Army? Want the Marines to dominate the Air Force? Game on.
If one of your players is in a bad slump, or if he gets hurt, you can cut him and pick up another player to join your team, provided you can afford him. Manage your team wisely, though -- you have a limited amount of moves you can make.

What's the basic strategy?
There's no one tip we can give you to guarantee victory. Winning at Free Salary Cap Football takes intuition, luck, research, and trial and error. Here are some basic principles to get you started:
-- Spot the bargains. If you pick a player that performs better than his salary would otherwise dictate, you improve your team's score as well as save money to spend on the rest of your team.
-- Play the Market. Buy low, sell high. By buying players in high demand and then selling them to reap the gains, you can increase your total team value and buy better, higher-priced players.
-- Know who's hurting. Paying attention to injuries is vital in fantasy football. Be sure to keep an eye on who is out, who may have gotten banged up in practice and who is trying to play through pain. Sometimes a great player playing at 75 percent is not as good as an average player playing at 100 percent.
-- Know where they're playing. Weather plays a larger role in football than in any other sport. Some stadiums, depending on the time of year, greatly affect a team's strategy. Sometimes the best defense against a strong passing attack is 45 mph gusting winds in Chicago, or a snow covered field in Green Bay.
-- Know who they're playing. There are good and bad defensive teams in the league each year. After a few weeks you'll know which teams these are. Make sure you take advantages of a good matchup. A mediocre running back playing against a weak defense might be a safer bet than a good running back going up against a killer defense.
-- Know when they're playing. Each year the NFL's schedule seems to get more confusing. There are now games on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the season. Keep track of when your players are playing and when they have byes. If a player suffers a minor injury on Sunday and is playing the following Thursday, the injury may not have had time to fully heal. Having a player on roster during his bye week could also set you way back.
Please return after Wednesday, August 4 to sign up for Military.com Salary Cap Football and help your service dominate.
