    40 years later and you are still not told the name of the General. He was probably a Soviet General for the following reasons: 1. the US spokesholes would have crowed the NVA General's name. 2. the Chinese were only allowing rail transit across China and otherwise were not supportive of the NVA. 3. The Soviets were providing the war materials. 4. The Soviets were manning the missile sites in NV. 5. The US had a policy of not identifying antagonistic Soviet efforts - like a. sending selected captured pilots and technicians from Vietnam to the Soviet Union. b. manning the NK Migs in the Korean War,
