Mary Tillman has come to an unhappy conclusion: that there's probably nothing more she can do to bring to light just who was behind the lies generated to try and cover up how her son, football player-turned Army Ranger Pat Tillman, died in Afghanistan in 2004.

Members of Forward Operating Location Manta helped give away 6,500 backpacks that were purchased recently by U.S. Embassy officials in Quito, Ecuador, for underprivileged children. Embassy officials selected 23 schools with underprivileged children in ManabĂ province in areas affected by flooding.

The security environment here has improved dramatically since the 1st Iraqi Army Quick Reaction Force fought their way into the city. Criminal elements of the Jaysh al-Mahdi had taken over parts of the city from local Iraqi security forces and imposed their own rule on a city that had once been a cultural and commercial beacon.

The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Dauntless repatriated 193 Haitian migrants to Cap-Haiten, Haiti. The Haitian migrants were located aboard two over-crowded sailboats Friday while the 210-foot cutter patrolled the waters off Haiti enforcing alien migrant interdiction operations.
