SAT Test

CLEP Examinations are broken down into two categories - General and Subject. General examinations cover broader topic areas and test your general knowledge on a given area. Subject exams are much more specific and test your knowledge on specific subject matters. The following is a list of exams listed by category and topic.

Paper-Based CLEP General Examinations

  • English Composition without Essay
  • Social Science & History
  • Natural Sciences

  • College Mathematics

Note: Paper based exams are being phased out.

The 2012 deadlines for OCONUS CLEP Paper-based Testing is as follows:

July 1

FINAL date for stocking and non-stocking DANTES-sponsored test sites in OCONUS to order CLEP paper-based exams and optional essays.

September 30

FINAL date for DANTES test sites in OCONUS to administer CLEP paper-based exams.

October 5

FINAL deadline for postmarked administered exams to be returned for scoring and for unused exams to be returned.

November 15

FINAL date for the testing agency to score completed exams.

Note: The CLEP General English Composition with Essay is not available as a paper-based test and must be taken at a national test center as a computer-based examination.
