A Marine died on Wednesday after collapsing during training at Twentynine Palms, California.
A Facebook post from Brig. Gen. Roger Turner, commanding general of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Training Command, Marine Corps Ground Combat Center, said that the Marine "collapsed while training and was rushed to the hospital."
"Immediate life saving measures were performed, but the Marine was pronounced dead this morning," Turner said.
The Marine's death is currently under investigation.
"On behalf of the command team, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Marine's family, friends, and unit," Turner's post said.
