Fleet Week 2007

Join us in our celebration of the men and women of our armed forces. A spectacular weekend family event featuring the Navy Blue Angels, a Parade of Navy ships and other exciting demonstrations.

Boater Information

Thank you for your continued support of the annual U.S. Navy and City of San Francisco sponsored Fleet Week Parade of Navy Ships and Blue Angels Flight Demonstration to be held on October 4, 2007, through October 7, 2007. This year's on-water Fleet Week activities will be held from October 4th through October 7th. To ensure the safety of participants and spectators on the navigable waters of San Francisco Bay, the U. S. Coast Guard has enacted the special local regulations, published in the October 1, 1993, issue of the Federal Register 58 FR 51242. In addition to this notice in the Federal Register, the Coast Guard will provide the maritime community with extensive advance notification of this enforcement period via the Local Notice to Mariners, and Broadcast Notice to Mariners. U.S. Coast Guard patrol personnel, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, San Francisco Police Department, and other law enforcement vessels will be patrolling the regulated areas to ensure all Fleet Week events are conducted safely.

Provided is a chart for the regulated area "Alpha" for the Navy Parade of Ships, which will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. traffic will be restricted by a special local regulation throughout most of the Central San Francisco Bay from the Golden Gate Bridge, south of Alcatraz, to just south of the Oakland-Bay Bridge. This is to accommodate the Navy Parade of Ships as they pass under the Golden Gate Bridge to their assigned moorings in San Francisco, CA. No vessel will be permitted to cross the parade line or interfere with the safe transit of the parade participants in any way. A 500 yard protective zone will also be enforced around each naval vessel during the entire time they are in the Port.

Provided is a chart for the regulated area "Bravo" for the Navy Blue Angels Activities. Federal Aviation Administration regulations require that this area is clear of all persons and vessels during the specified times to provide a ditch zone for the U.S. Blue Angels Flight Demonstration and Activities. Ferry Boats will be allowed in this area on a case-by-case basis. The area depicted on the attached chart will be closed from Thursday, October 4th, through Sunday, October 7th, during the following periods:

Friday, October 5th
Saturday, October 6th
Sunday, October 7th

11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
