When and Where Will 2015 Rates Be Published?

FacebookXPinterestEmailEmailEmailShare

I know that I am not the only person who spends a silly amount of time surfing around the various military websites, trying to see if the 2015 military pay and allowances have been officially published yet.  It's pretty late, relative to past years, and social media has had a lot of conversations about "when?"  It's a good question, and I wish that I knew the answer.

Note:  We have the 2015 projected pay charts here at Military.com, and I can't imagine any reason why they won't be right.  Use our charts to figure out what to expect next year.

I'm going to be traveling for the next few days, and I won't be hitting refresh on my computer as often as I usually do.  So, I thought it would be good to tell you where YOU can find this information.

Military Pay, Basic Allowance for Subsistence, and other pay and allowances

The best place to see the whole chart is at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service website, www.dfas.mil.  Their military pay page shows that they will update the pay chart as soon as they receive the information.

Basic Allowance for Housing Rates

Last year, the Defense Travel website put up a notice in advance, with an anticipated release date for the new Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) rates.  That hasn't happened this year, and we're past the date that rates were released last year.  The first place to find the 2015 BAH will be at the Defense Travel website.  Your first clue will probably be that the page will no longer say, "Updated 12/17/2013."  When that changes, you should be able to click through and use the query function to find your rates.  The complete charts should also be updated at that time, by clicking on the link in the left hand column that says BAH Rates for All Locations.

As always, I will check throughout the day and update regularly.  I just won't be sitting at my computer quite as much as I do on a regular work-day.
