Military Appreciation Month Military Discounts

While many merchants still report offering discounts during this ever-changing time of closures and alternate schedules some may not be available. Always check with the company for full details on their hours and offerings.

Service members and families are being honored during Military Appreciation Month with a variety of discounts in 2020. Below are some highlighted offerings. 

Information on discounts will be added as it becomes available.

2020 Military Appreciation Month Discounts

Academy Sports + Outdoors

Current and former military members get 10% off their entire purchase both in-store and online May 4 through May 25.

Big Lots

Big Lots is offering active-duty military and veterans a 15% military discount off everything through May both in-store and online.

California's Great America

Active or retired military members receive free admission May 23­ through May 25. Additionally, military members can purchase up to six tickets for family and friends for just $28 each.

Carowinds

On May 24 and 25, Carowinds will waive the admission fee for active military, retired military, National Guard and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. They also offer free tickets for veterans with an honorable or medical discharge. Family members can enjoy special military offers, too.

Cincinnati Zoo

All members of the military will receive free admission on Memorial Day. The offer also allows military personnel to purchase up to six half-price admission tickets for members of their immediate family. Military personnel who qualify for the free admission ticket and discount offer for family members include active military, retired military, National Guard, veterans with honorable or medical discharge and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps with government issued ID.

Colonial Williamsburg

Active-duty military, Reservists, National Guard personnel, retired military and veterans receive complimentary admission once annually for themselves and up to three direct dependents on either Memorial Day weekend or Veterans Day weekend.

Home Depot

All veterans are eligible for Home Depot's 10% military discount on Memorial Day with a DoD-issued ID, a DD214 or a Veterans Driver’s License. (This discount is good for veterans on July 4th and Veterans Day as well.)

HYLETE

Receive 40% off every order of HYLETE training apparel plus an extra 10% off during the month of May.

Idlewild and SoakZone

Active-duty military, retired military and veterans who visit during the Memorial Day Weekend Salute (May 23, 24, 25) can enjoy free admission. Military personnel may also get free admission for up to three immediate family members by showing a valid military ID at the gate.

Indianapolis Zoo

Current and former members of the military are admitted free on Memorial Day. Plus, all non-military family members receive a $2 discount on day-of, on-site ticket purchases.

Joe's Crab Shack

Joe's Crab Shack is offering service members and veterans a military discount of 10% off on May 25. Dine-in only.

Kings Dominion

Active and retired military will receive free park admission on May 23 through 25. Their family members can purchase tickets online for $29.99. 

Leslie's Pool Supplies

Leslie's Pool Supplies will be honoring military members and veterans during Memorial Day weekend with double it's normal discount, offering 10% off from May 22 through 25. The deal will be available at lesliespool.com or in-store.

Magic Springs Theme and Water Park

Magic Springs is saluting members of the military (active and veterans) with free admission May 16 through 31. Family members are $35.99 plus tax when accompanied by a military member. 

McCormick & Schmick's

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants are offering service members and veterans a military discount of 10% off on May 25 when you dine in.

Michigan's Adventure

On May 24 and 25, Michigan's Adventure will waive the regular admission fee for active and retired members of the Armed Forces, National Guard and Reserve. Military personnel can purchase up to six discounted tickets for immediate family members for $27 each.

Mission BBQ

Veterans and active-duty military get a free sandwich the week of May 11. (Dates vary by service branch.)

Rack Room Shoes

Rack Room Shoes offers a 10% discount off your entire purchase in stores on Memorial Day to anyone with a military ID.

Rubio's Coastal Grill

This Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, Rubio’s Coastal Grill invites military and veterans to enjoy one free adult entree, with the purchase of another adult entree.

Silverwood Theme Park

Military personnel and veterans receive free admission on May 23, 24 and 25. Their immediate family members (spouse and children) also receive a special discounted rate ($24.00 plus tax, ages 8-64, $19.00 plus tax, ages 3-7 and 65+, a savings of up to $14.00).

Sleep Number

Sleep Number is offering a military discount of an extra $100 off all Sleep Number smart beds and adjustable bases May 7 through 31. Redeemable in store, online (with promo code), by phone or Live Chat.

Splashway Waterpark and Campground

Active military, veterans and their immediate family receive 50% off tickets throughout the Memorial Day weekend at Splashway Waterpark and Campground in Sheridan, Texas.

Sun Splash Family Waterpark

On May 25, active or retired military, disabled veterans, and military reservists receive a free one-day admission, and up to 4 family members accompanying military personnel can receive a $3 discount off general admission.

Worlds of Fun

Active-duty military and veterans receive complimentary admission to Worlds of Fun on May 16 (Armed Forces Day) and May 25 (Memorial Day). Military personnel can also purchase discounted tickets for their immediate family.
