Years before virtual workshops, conferences and summits became the norm, the team at InDependent was presenting military spouses with what they needed: a virtual wellness summit that fit their schedule.
The event is a trifecta of things military spouses need: It's open to everyone in the military spouse and first-responder community; it's completely flexible to work around your schedule; and it's all about you.
This year's virtual summit is no exception, except that it's bound to be even better than before. It will take place from March 1 through March 6, and it's 100% virtual and on your own schedule.
Here's how it works. First, register, either for a general admission or all-access pass. Each morning of the summit week, you'll receive an email with links to that day's interviews.
The interviews are curated by the InDependent team and military spouse Corie Weathers. The experts share actionable and practical ways to learn about and improve upon your personal wellness. The interviews are recorded and available through the week after the summit.
Attendees will also get access to a very popular past interview, "Building an Intimate Marriage" with Dr. Michael Sytsma.
Speakers are still being announced, but so far summit attendees will hear from Sytsma; Dr. Tania Glenn, a first-responder spouse; and registered dietician Shana Spence. Interview topics will include digital well-being, making your house a home, emergency preparedness and building stronger friendships.
There are several reasons to consider upgrading to the all-access pass. You'll get lifelong access to these interviews through the dashboard, along with workbooks and giveaways. The giveaways include a virtual swag bag and chances at some pretty great prizes, including an all-expenses-paid trip to the Taya and Chris Kyle Foundation's Empowered Spouse Retreat (which I won in 2019 and cannot say enough good things about).
Save 30% off the $49.99 all-access pass by purchasing before March 7. Register here. General admission is always free, and remember the summit is open to all military and first-responder spouses.
This year, participants also have the option to purchase the Virtual Summit Pass, a combination ticket that gives military spouses an All-Access Pass to IWS21 and admission to the two-day Remote Revolution, presented by the Association of Military Spouse Entrepreneurs on Feb. 17 and 18, 2021.
