    Wow, that was some good info. I should have known blacks were segregated back then, what a shame. My best troops and friends were black at Parris Island and afterwards. These Black Soldiers and their families should be proud of them. And yes I'm a White, Proud, former Marine. Semper Fidelis,HooRah

    One unit was left out. The Red Ball Express. They transported fuel to the rolling III Infantry Division, supplying General Patton`s troops chasing the Germans, and rescuing the 101st Airborne in Battle of The Bulge. This movie with Jeff Chandler in it, has been aced out of t.v. Great Story. The Japanese-Americans were also, segregated. 442d Infantry was one of their divisions. God Bless America! Go US ARMY!
