IDF Air Strike on Head of Hamas
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - An Israeli airstrike killed the commander of the Hamas military wing in Gaza Wednesday and Israel pounded dozens of targets in Gaza in the most intense attack since an Israeli offensive four years ago. The killing of Ahmad Jabari marked a dramatic resumption of Israel's policy of assassinating Palestinian militant leaders and the Israeli military said it was the beginning of a major offensive codenamed "Pillar of Defense." Palestinians called for harsh retaliation. The airstrikes came after a weekend exchange of Gaza rocket fire and Israeli airstrikes appeared to have abated. The Israeli offensive was likely to re-ignite the conflict.

...no loss...another one bites the dust!!
What he wants more, a fast and painless death.
Good shooting!!
"The airstrikes came after a weekend exchange of Gaza rocket fire and Israeli airstrikes?" The truth is that Hamas has been lobbing rockets into nearby Israeli towns for years, sending people regularly into bomb shelters sometimes for the whole night! Who should have to live like that? The week heading up to this assassination saw literally hundreds of rockets shot out of Gaza into civilian neighborhoods and schoolyards - BEFORE Israel retaliated at all. Recently in Sederot the first schoolyard had a protective dome shielding the playground. How sad...
Let's not forget the 7 year old girl that was murdered in the same strike. You can not bring every criminal to justice but you can save children's lives. Pursue the criminals but excessive force is never an excuse to kill child.
This is a pro military site? As I understand it our military support Israel and their DEFENSE of their land. This was not an Israeli offensive maneuver. Israel has been pummeled with rocket fire for months from Hamas and this is the stuff military.com chooses to report? Then to insinuate that Hamas has the right to hit back hard? WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT??!!??
I have noticed that the biased press only seems to have cameras when the Gaza dead are paraded. The Israeli dead are never shown. The 1000s of missles lobbed into Israel are never reported, until Israel has had enough. The Gaza residents are the immigrants, nit the Jews.
Re-ignite? The conflict has never stopped to re-ignite. This conflict has been burning since biblical times. These fires have never been quenched and will continue until all people realise how evil this and all wars are. All people have the right to peace without the fear of death at the hands of their neighbor.

Good work IDF, KILL MORE OF THEM!!!
Fantastic hit
Bravo Israel! give'em hell!
Note: Israel killed the very man they were negociating a cease fire with and used it as a pretext to start bombing the Gaza. "'ISRAEL KILLED ITS SUBCONTRACTOR' - Israel will have to find a new subcontractor to replace Ahmed Jabari as its border guard in the south. http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/israel-killed-its-subcontractor-in-gaza.premium-1.477886 Ahmed Jabari was a subcontractor, in charge of maintaining Israel's security in Gaza. This title will no doubt sound absurd to anyone who in the past several hours has heard Jabari described as "an arch-terrorist," "the terror chief of staff" or "our Bin Laden." But that was the reality for the past five and a half years. Israel demanded of Hamas that it observe the truce in the south and enforce it on the multiplicity of armed organizations in the Gaza Strip. The man responsible for carrying out this policy was Ahmed Jabari. In return for enforcing the quiet, which was never perfect, Israel funded the Hamas regime through the flow of shekels in armored trucks to banks in Gaza, and continued to supply infrastructure and medical services to the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip.
