Only way to determine how many DAESH died would have been to attack on the ground while the air attack was going on! One might say that would be too early, but you have to remember that the Iraqis would need to dance and sing a little before getting going! Then as they attacked single file they would have to call up the commander two villages back to see if he could come forward from his villa and mistress to provide the plan of attack. When or if he showed up, he would probably find out that the DAESH guys re-occupied their bombed positions and were putting accurate fire on the lead element of the single file attack. Especially since the Iraqis didn't coordinate any artillery fire and didn't use any kind of fire support element to provide direct covering fire. Yelling God is Great, the Iraqi Army[sic] retreated leaving their dead and wounded. These casualties were provided in a BDA to the AF as DAESH casualties. Everyone was happy for a good day's work, especially the Iraqi commander who kept his dead on the roles so he could collect their pay. Mistresses are very expensive in Iraq! De Oppresso Liber.
