From June 2012 -- Marines with Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment participate in Operation Jaws, clearing the town of Zamindawar in Kajaki, Afghanistan, a known insurgent stronghold. Great example of the use of Tanks and Armor in combat in Afghanistan by US marines.
