Afghan Female Forces Fight Prejudice
As Afghan forces grow and develop, taking responsibility for lead security in their country, women too are stepping forward to join the nation's army and police forces. But like other women in Afghanistan, who often face resistance to working outside of the home, they struggle to have their work recognized and accepted. One organization, the Afghan Women's Coalition Against Corruption, recently conducted a conference to discuss the participation of women in Afghan forces and the challenges that they face every day.
