Surefire is proud of its ... prices. Streamlight makes lights of equal and superior quality for a third to half the price. My 20 year old Streamlight Scorpion is smaller than the 'Backup' shown, costs $50+ today, and with its Xenon bulb, will project 3 times the distance. Streamlight LED lights are the best lights I have used in my 6 decades on this planet. As for Xenon gun lights, Streamlight's Xenons are designed to handle recoil. I use them on the Marines' Benelli M4 shotgun, the M4 Carbine and M16 on full auto, and HK's HK45 Tactical pistol, which recently replaced the SIG 226 Navy as the sidearm issued to the Navy SEALs.
