M16A1 Explodes in Guy's Hand

The explosion of the gun was caused by a squib load. A squib load is when a fired projectile does not have enough energy to leave the barrel therefore becoming lodged in the barrel. A catastrophic failure of the weapon is very likely when another round is fired into the obstructed barrel.

    Lack of training shows here. I'm glad he's OK, but it could have been really disastrous.

    proper training would have led him to realize that reduced recoil and audible pop were a major sign that something was wrong
