I will still take a 1911. Everyone has their opinion. And everyone is an expert.
No it's not, the AK is a piece of inaccurate spray and pray crap. The 1911A1 is a professional soldiers weapon.
Seems these videos are geared toward Larry Vickers opinion and him shooting a few rounds. I understand that opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one. If Mr. Vickers is going to hold himself out as THE expert he needs to extrapolate and explain why he says what he says and what brought him to this opinion. I have 40 years an a military and law enforcement instructor and I'm not real comfortable with his statements. Such as the M9 being anything close to a reliable combat pistol. Why did we buy a pistol that needs the spring changed every 2000 rounds?? Maybe if it's shot in competition. Most GIs don't fire their side arm enough to cause that type wear. It should be part of the periodic maintenance schedule. I do agree; KEEP IT LUBED!!!! 'cause it WILL get full of dirt. Just my humble opinion.
Did he ever carry on ein combat in the jungle and sand? The M-16 is a piece of junk, but my 1911A1 kept right on firing, irregardless! The AK-47 is a rattle battle weapon, shoot lots of rounds down range because it isn't that accurate. Sorry, but I will still take my M-14 and 1911A1 as I know they will work when I need them to. And yes, I was in combat with the M-14 and M-16 and the mouse gun (M-16) is still useless for penetration and knock-down. M-14 and 1911A1 both have penetration and knock-down power....just my opinion, not tainted by commercial interests or ego...
