Ordnance Corps, US Army for 24 of 26 years. Never fired a shot at an enemy, but issued many tons of rockets, missiles, artillery, explosive devices, and small arms ammunition to those who did.

Airborne Infantry, 1983 - 1990. Never placed in a position to fire on enemy targets, but like most who served, stood in many formations, pounded a lot of ground, and put up with a lot of you know what. That being said, I'd do it again.

Served from 2000-2006 in two separate MOS's. Pounded a lot of dirt, pushed Ft Benning and Ft Bragg a little closer to the center of the earth, and saw some pretty sunsets while floating around Sicily DZ (I won't mention landing on a concrete slab on Normandy DZ). If I could, I'd still be in. And I wouldn't change a dang thing!! I'd do it all over again!

You could have also added the fact that Roosevelt's son also received the medal of honor for his actions during D-Day.
