US Air Force Pararescue in Action
A video about U.S. Air Force Special Operations Forces "Pararescue" also known as PJs. Pararescuemen (AFSC 1T2X1) are United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Air Combat Command (ACC) operatives tasked with recovery and medical treatment of personnel in humanitarian and combat environments. They are the only members of the DoD specifically organized, trained and equipped to conduct personnel recovery operations in hostile or denied areas as a primary mission. PJ's Rock I used to drop them during training flights over the arctic circle. Not for the weak they are totally professional and get the best toys!
Not only do they have to carry out a wounded airman, but they also may have to perform minor surgery, such as an appendectomy, besides shoot their way out of some ambush, etc. Do they serve in some inner city ER also for medical training?
I was a support guy in an STS. PJ's are amazing men.
pjs are great man
I cant wait to serve among them. Musclecar61 would you say they come in to direct combat frequently in CSAR mission?
A Guardian Angel's job is everything to include combat.
Thanks for your service...
