Introducing the RQ-21A Blackjack

Share

The U.S. Navy and Marines believe the RQ-21A Blackjack UAV is worth the gamble of purchasing following tests in November. Insitu, a Boeing subsidiary, has been tasked to deliver one low-rate initial production of an RQ-21A Blackjack UAV system that includes one aircraft, ground control stations, and launch and recovery equipment. Blackjack is attractive due to its ability to adapt to various environments, both land and sea, with customizable features. Blackjack, which is 8 feet long and has a wingspan of 16 feet, is a small tactical drone that can fly as fast as 104 mph and as high as 19,500 feet for more than 13 hours.
