How about Shit Canning the F-22 and F-35 and buy these from the Rooskies. I bet we could buy them at 3 to one ratio! What a bargain!

We USED TO make the best military systems in the world.

How about we don't because the F-22 is almost as agile but has stealth and supercruise to it's advantage. I'll take F-22 over the SU-30 every day of the week and twice on Sunday ;-) We STILL make the best military systems in the world... Though this video is very impressive

The F-22 is more dominant all around, but the SU-30 is definately more agile, but thats been known. However, as agile as it is, it wouldn't get the chance to get to an F-22 before the latter would destroy it. Still this is very impressive, even for the SU-30 I have heard of this maneuver before and I forget what its called, but its intense, and I give credit to the pilot and aircraft where its due

ok, so it's a neat airshow demo. Give me a single Raptor or F35 and I'll go 1 v 4 and turn all four of these flying RCS tennis courts into hair/teeth/eyeballs and they'll never detect nor sense my jet, no less even know I was there. Questions?

F-22 is a superb aircraft, but we aregoing to short buy it and buy the F-35 instead. NOT as good ....Anyone ever hear of teh Brewster Buffalo....? Buy the F-22 or all we're doing is paying for targets for MR Bear to shoot at...

REALLY REALLY great. Hope the F22 and F35 and Typhoon can match this or it's gonna be ugley.

Like pre-war and WW-II Italian fighters, it might be good at aerobatics, but want good is it in a dogfight?

Good Gosh! That is one really big fighter jet. Hope nobody in a position of leadership ever underestimates what the Russians can build. And I agree with KotB1429, we'd better not get the idea that the we can survice by doing things on the cheap. There is no substitute for the F-22. The F-35 designed for different missions than the F-22. And if the politicians in Washington think that these aircraft are to darned expensive, let's ask them how they put a price tag on the freedom that we enjoy here in America.

While the pilot certainly knows his machine and pulls some very impressive maneuvers with it there is certainly nothing “redefining” about it. In fact these exact same maneuvers have been around since the SU-27 (predecessor to the SU-30) back in the early/mid ‘80s. In fact, in response to the SU-27’s abilities we came up w/ your own “super agile fighter” program w/ the “F-15 ACTIVE Technology Demonstrator and Research Aircraft” started in the late ‘80s. This just shows what you can do when you come up w/ an aircraft that has a 1:1 (or greater) thrust to weight ratio. The only difference is that the USA is too chicken to pull most of these maneuvers, although our latest crop of aircraft are more than able to withstand the stress and strains, especially considering how many aircraft have been lost to such handling. There are other aircraft in the world not made by the USA that can also pull these maneuvers. Oh, and for those who think we (the USA) can still whoop anybody, the SU-30 (and later variants stemming from the SU-27 such as the SU-33 through 37 and carrying the NATO “Flanker” moniker) has state of the art electronics and CAN detect “stealth” aircraft.

Pretty cool thrust vectoring demonstration. Overall the su-30 has minor 1v1 advantages over f-15s and f-16s, but training of U.S. pilots should easily overcome any technical deficiencies.

Is this another one of those "PIGS CAN FLY" tales? Sueee!!! Su-30 or chewy) the Su3) went farther than expected. The Plane looks like a hybrid between a flying pig and some sort of bee or dragon fly. Suee is the sound farmers make in O-hi-O to call their pigs to dinner. SU-3) The Zero is a smile), when you hold down the shift button and catapult the 0 to the sky; in this case the su-30. Pigs is a derogatory term for USA American citizens. Getting pigs to fly is a term used by some illegals to tell Americans to leave their country.. as some illegals believe the USA asked of them when it told them they had to leave after their free ride boarding school. Some seem to think school is citizenship. Not according to USA university standards. And the other video.. The BEA systems F35 on fire ejector seat.. The BAE OF PIGS. The commies made the US whale like a pig, a President and a Pope died. 35 >Used to be the number of British colonies and the speed limit on many residential roads in USA, a bank,, and a way to say eee pie. su-30, BAE System F-35 35=#%

I've seen some of the same maneuvers flown by a Canadian Armed Forces CF-18. Some of the others are probably made possible by the canard on the SU-30.

Of course, you could do the same thing if you had a maneuverable submarine with jets in a large body of water and neutral buoyancy, just at a much slower pace. It's called inertia and fluid dynamics. Newton's Three Laws of Motion also apply.

It's called thrust vectoring. The slow manuvers are useless tactically. They have had this for yrs. It's an advantage when the opposing planes are in your face but since most "dogfights" are from miles away, it doesn't matter. If you look at the plane's bumps are appendages, it will most likely have a huge radar cross section making it a great target for a long range missle shot.

U.S. are not building fighters for dog fights anymore, they are more for first sight first kill being miles away without physically seeing the other aircraft, besides what good with all that flipping around, with the F-35 all you have to do is look at the target and fire don"t even have to point the aircraft in the direction of the other aircraft

The SU-30 is a nice show plane. If suffers from a susceptibility to FOD damage. The thrust vectoring is not orthogonal and causes the plane to drop when in use. F-15s and 16s ate it for lunch at Red Flag when flown by the Indian AF. All this chest pumping about the F-22 is useless. The AF bought a plane that is not an everyday fighter. It requires 30 hrs of maint for every one hour in the air. That is one of the main reasons it has never been forward deployed. The pentagon needs to cancel the F-35 program (the F-22 is already stopped) and start buying the F-15K that we are building for korea. It contains the avionics and the radar suite from the F-22. It costs less and the eagle still rules the skies. When the Navy pulls out of the F-35 due to its increasing costs, it will be the smart and economical thing for the Pentagon.

All these F22 comments here are ridiculous. F22 to Su30 is an apples to oranges comparison. F22 is unrivaled in the world. Period. Sukhoi family of aircraft are phenominal. The Russians match Western avionics and pilot training/experience and then they are a match for any Western fighter or attack counterpart (except the F22).
