    The Martin Jetpack shot into the sky over the Canterbury Plains in New Zealand at a climb rate of 800 feet per minute, reaching an altitude of 5,000 feet (previous record 100 feet per minute & 50 feet altitude) before safely deploying its ballistic jetpack parachute.
