Designed by Anatoly L. Baryshev the AB (Avtomat Barysheva) is perfected for the full automatic fire being extremely stable and far more accurate than AKM in burst mode. The AB fires from open bolt wich a sophisticated delayed blow back action. The rifle was tested in 1970s by the Russian army an rejected mostly because the expensive manufacture and the exclusive open bolt fire mode wich might cause dirtyness of the action in field.
