USS Fort Worth Searches for AirAsia QZ8501

    JAVA SEA (Jan. 7, 2015) A U.S. Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter which has deployed with the littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) flies over the ship and her 11-meter rigid hull inflatable boat during search operations. Later the helicopter flys over the multinational grouping of naval vessels participating in search efforts at the location of Air Asia Flight QZ8501’s tail. Fort Worth is operating in the vicinity of the tail section and is supporting Indonesian-led efforts to locate the downed aircraft.
