Meet Lucca, USMC Hero Dog
In March 2012, Lucca, a military service dog, was injured in the line of duty while on morning patrol in Afghanistan. She lost her leg while protecting a platoon of Marines from a roadside bomb, preventing the soldiers from sustaining any injuries. Lucca is just one of many services dogs who was featured on Natural Balance's 2013 Rose Parade float, which honored military service dogs throughout the country.
