Marine Sgt. Ray Lewis asks Betty White to the Marine Corps Ball. This is the third time a Marine has asked an actress to their yearly tradition called the Marine Corps Ball. The first was Sgt. Scott Moore. the other was Corporal Kelsey De Santis. Lewis is an Afghanistan and Iraq veteran, a journalist and a Hip Hop artist (RSonic). UPDATE: According to TheWrap.com, White Monday declined a YouTube invite to ball from a soldier stationed in Afghanistan. Sgt. Ray Lewis said he’d show White, 89, “a good time” in his invite and added that he thought they could “laugh together” — but apparently her commitment to her sitcom “Hot in Cleveland” precluded her from making a date. “I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation. As everyone knows, I love a man in uniform,” White said in a statement provided to TheWrap.
