Coast Guard Building Demolished!

FacebookTwitterPinterestEmailShare

The 11-story building, now stripped of its facade, was once home to members of the Coast Guard and their families, but had been vacant since 1996. Now, to accommodate a city plan to turn the island into a park, and the site into two softball fields with adjacent hills, Building 877 was to be imploded Sunday.
