As U.S. citizens living abroad get ready to vote in the Global Primaries, Americans stationed in France took part in the rekindling of the eternal flame in Paris earlier this month. Anna Marie Mattson, Democrats Abroad chair of veterans and military families caucus, and Meredith Wheeler, vice chair of Democrats Abroad France, the American flagbearer at the event, discuss its significance. Starting February 18, Troops stationed abroad can vote early in the 2020 Democratic Primaries by mailing or sending digital copies of their ballots. (Nikola Boskovic/Medill News Service)
