UAE Teams Warm Up for Dubai Air Show
18 Nov 2013 | Posted by Flanker41
The 13th Dubai Airshow will be held from November 17 to 21 at the Dubai World Center. This year the show includes a training performance of two aerobatic flying teams from the United Arab Emirates Air Force. One team named The Knights, established in 2010 and consisting of 10 planes, trained with the Italian Frecce Tricolori flying team. The planes are painted in gold and black, representing desert and oil, and red, green and white on the bottom—the colors of the national flag of the UAE. The British Royal Air Force's Red Arrows—one of the most celebrated flying teams in the world—will also be joining the aerobatic performances. The Dubai Airshow has been held bi-annually, since 1987.
