Rare: 1971 Paris Air Show TU-144

Share

This is a 16mm film clip showing the Soviet prototype TU-144 arriving at the 1971 Paris Air Show. This film clip was bought at a late 70's Science Fiction convention with some unrelated US Air Force commercial film clips. This clip shows the prototype TU-144 SST model 68001. It was number 1 and designed to compete with the British Concord and, the never produced, American SST. Notice it did not have the forward canards every other Soviet TU-144 had.
