Spouse of the Year 2016 Final Vote TODAY

Share

This is it - your final shot at having a say in who is given the 2016 Military Spouse of the Year title.

We've been telling you about this year's award since day one of the 2016 process. It's pretty straight forward: you nominated folks and voted for them a handful of times. A panel of previous winners, Military Spouse Magazine officials and guest judges did some work. And here we are  -- the branch winners have been selected. And it's time to do some voting for who will be given the "spouse of the year" title.

One winner from each branch - Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine - has been selected as well as a National Guard representative. You can go here to read all about each one of these fine people.

As was the case last year, most of these winners are people I do not personally know. I like that -- a lot. I love seeing new-to-me military spouse faces get some national spotlight for the great things they are doing for our community.

You can read all about the nominees here as well as vote today, March 3. Voting is only open today. The final winner will be announced at the Military Spouse of the Year awards luncheon just outside Washington, D.C. in May -- and we'll be there bringing it to you live.

As a side note: I've been asked a few times why Military.com is sponsoring the Military Spouse of the Year awards as a media partner. The reasoning is pretty simple. Here at SpouseBuzz we believe in empowering military spouses. And that's what this award does -- it gives its winners a national stage to get stuff DONE. What's not to love about that?

GO VOTE.
