Jen Giunta, wife of Medal of Honor awardee Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta, told us last week she struggles with knowing how to accurately represent the diversity of military spouses.
Since her husband was given the award last year, making him the first living Medal of Honor winner from the current conflicts, the Giuntas have been trotting around the states making public appearances. Staff Sgt. and Jen Giunta are, in many ways, to the civilian world the faces of military couples.
Jen talked to us in this exclusive video interview about the pressures of representing spouses, her husband’s decision to leave the military this year, a major change in the works for their family and how the Medal of Honor has affected their lives.
