Fortunately, it seems that Jennifer Giunta, wife of Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sgt. Salvatore A. Giunta, is doing something slightly more noble with her fame. Giunta and Jackie Gallardo, wife of Silver Star recipient Staff Sgt. Erick Gallardo, have taken the chance to lend their fame to several non-profits benefiting the military.
First to receive their help is HeroBox, an organization that sends targeted care packages downrange. They’ve also met with a variety of other companies and organizations, according to this story.
Another interesting tidbit in that news item: Giunta and Gallardo both recently met with writers and producers of “Army Wives.” Perhaps they’ll be making an appearance on the show in the near future?
