I say “base;” you say “post”

Do any of you read the comic stripJenny: the Military Spouse? This particularJenny hit home for me.

I'm currently living on a military base and we've got a bit of everything here. Although it's primarily an Army post, the Air Force, Navy, Marines, and even the Coast Guard have a presence. While we have more similarities than not, there is still a language gap between the services. Sometimes it's simply calling the same thing by different names. Other times, it's a cultural difference. Have you been tripped up by another service's jargon or culture?
