Need Your Advice on Army Wives, the Television Series

Share

Well, I blew it. Big time. During the move-from-hell, I missed the season premiere of Army Wives. Normally I wouldn't have missed it because I have the series set to record, but we switched cable providers during the move and the new service wasn't in place until two days after the premiere. I have all subsequent episodes on DVR but haven't watched them because I'm missing the premiere, which is usually pretty important. Ugh!

I had planned to buy the series after it was out on DVD, or at least purchase the premiere if it's available, but now I'm wondering if I should just suck it up and dive right in. Some real military spouses are disturbed about something in this season's story line. I have no idea what they're talking about and I can't comment on it because I haven't watched a single episode. But now my interest is piqued and I'm not sure I can wait until the season is out on DVD. I've deliberately stayed away from reading reviews, recaps, etc. because I want to watch it myself and formulate my own opinions.

So, for those of you who have been watching, without being a spoiler (no details please), what should I do? Will I miss that much if I just start with the second episode or do I really need to wait until I can see the premiere?
