My husband is currently deployed, with six more months left on this deployment. And he just informed me of his next deployment date. Is that surreal or what? I mean, we know he will get home around the end of the year and then now we already know when he will be leaving again. And it's roughly a year from today.
Sorry, we're new to this branch of the Army -- a branch that deploys for shorter times but frequently -- and this just blows my mind. I knew it would be like this, theoretically, but it's strange to actually start living it.
