"Domino's Pizza Inc. announced a new franchise program aimed at U.S. military veterans Thursday.

Domino's U.S. Veterans Franchise Program gives a $20,000 discount off the typical $25,000 franchise fee to open a Domino's Pizza shop to qualified military veterans to help them transition back into civilian life after the service, the company said in a statement. The program is also available to the spouses of active military members. "

Last night at the SpouseBUZZ Pajama Party, we featured a segment, "What's it like to work in the White House?" Our mystery guest was Jenny Storment, a fellow milspouse and former Director of Hispanic Affairs, Women and Law Enforcement Community at the White House. Production on Army Wives has been halted due to the Hollywood Writer's Strike.

Production of the Lifetime Network cable television show "Army Wives," which is set and made in the Holy City, is on hold at least until the walkout is settled and probably until after the holidays. Cast and crew members had hoped to tape the first few episodes of the new season before the turn of the year, but the Hollywood shutdown has dimmed the lights, for now.

Groan...
