Users of the Defense Department's My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) spouse scholarship program will be unable to access their accounts, submit education plans or request any financial assistance documents until July 27, the Pentagon announced today.

Officials plan to relaunch the site under a new URL -- https://mycaa.militaryonesource.mil -- July 27. The outage is in preparation for that move, they said.

"All MyCAA approved FAs and plans will be honored," the email says. "If you need an FA approved for a course or have questions, please contact a SECO career coach at 800-342-9647 after the new website is available."

The announcement was sent this evening to subscribers to the Pentagon's Spouse Education and Career Opportunities update email listserve.

The message noted that the current website is "currently ... unavailable to spouses and career coaches." It was not immediately clear when the current website went dark.

MyCAA offers eligible spouses up to $4,000 in tuition assistance for certain types of courses.

When functioning, the MyCAA program is available to spouses whose sponsor is on active duty or activated with the Guard or Reserve in pay grades E-1 to E-5, W-1 to W-2 and O-1 to O-2. Coast Guard spouses are not eligible.
