Each month, the Defense Commissary Agency (DECA) hosts special commissary sales at military bases that don't have their own commissary stores. Because these are often reserve base or National Guard training sites, DECA calls these special sales "Guard and Reserve" sales. I like to call them remote location sales, because they're open to all eligible commissary shoppers, including National Guard, reserves, retirees, active duty, and their military ID-carrying dependents.
For these sales, a "nearby" commissary store sponsors the sale, and coordinates a truckload or several truckloads of commissary merchandise to be delivered to the sale site. It will be a limited selection of commissary products at regular commissary prices. These sales are a great way for eligible shoppers to enjoy commissary products and prices without having to travel to the nearest commissary store.
In the listings below, the hyperlink is a link to the sponsoring commissary store. You should contact the store for more details about the sale, including verifying dates, times, and specific locations. Because the products are being brought in just for the sale, these sales can be impacted by weather and other factors. You definitely do not want to go out of your way to go to one of these sales and discover that the hours or location have changed, or that the sale has been postponed or cancelled.
