Don’t forget that you can find all the updated 2017 military pay charts here at Military.com.

Regular like clockwork, these February and March military paydays.  The next active duty military payday is Wednesday, 15 February 2017.  The day and time your 15 February 2017 military pay will be in your bank account will depend on your bank or credit union, and possibly even what type of checking account you use for your pay deposits.

While several banks and credit unions offer early direct deposit, either by policy or practice, you should probably not assume that your pay will be deposited early unless your financial institution guarantees it.

USAA

USAA credits military pay (and other pay) deposits one business day prior to the actual payday.  For this pay period, that will be Tuesday, 14 February 2017.  Please keep in mind that it can be deposited at any time during the day.  While you may have noticed a time that your pay is usually deposited, that is not based upon a schedule and does not mean that your pay will be deposited at that time in the future.

Pacific Marine Credit Union

Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) offers early direct deposit two business days prior to the actual military payday.  For this pay period, that will be Monday, 13 February 2017.

Service Credit Union

Service Credit Union offers early direct deposit two business days prior to the actual military payday.  For this pay period, that will be Monday, 13 February 2017, though Service Credit Union does often release Monday deposits on the Saturday prior.   Service Credit Union does state that early direct deposit is dependent on the receipt of the appropriate information from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS.)

Navy Federal Credit Union

Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) has two different deposit dates.  Which day your pay will be deposited depends on which type of checking account you use for your pay deposit.  The only type of checking account that gets early direct deposit is the Active Duty Checking account.  All other account types receive their military pay on the regular payday.

If you use an Active Duty Checking account, you will see your pay deposit pending on Monday, 13 February 2017.  It will be posted overnight and available for use on Tuesday, 14 February 2017.

If you use any other type of checking account, you will see your pay deposit pending on Tuesday, 13 February 2017.  It will be posted overnight and available for use on Wednesday, 15 February 2017.

Take advantage of this spell of 2 week pay period to bolster your savings account and be prepared for those times when the pay periods are a little longer!
