August and September Commissary Remote Sales

Are you an eligible commissary shopper, but don't live anywhere near a commissary store?  Keep your eyes out for what the commissary calls Guard and Reserve sales, but I call Remote Sales because they are open to all eligible commissary patrons, including active duty, retirees, National Guard and reserves, plus all their dependents.  These sales bring commissary products and prices to locations where there isn't a physical store.  Here are the locations where there will be sales in August and September:

August

August 21-22:  HQ 1015 Maintenance Co, 5015 N 34th St, Bldg 900, Forest Park, GA 30297-5122

September

September 1-3:  SFC Pele Army Reserve Center, 2508 Airport Road, PagoPago, American Samoa 96799

September 12:  119 Fighter Wing, Fargo Air Guard Reserve Center, 3920 31st St N, Fargo, ND 58102

September 11-12:  308th Medical Logistics Co, 3323 Deseret Drive, St George, UT 84790

September 24-26:  Guard and Reserve, Chappel Armory, Bldg 3000, Camp Joseph T. Robinson, North Little Rock, AR 72199-9600

September 25-26:  HQ 1015 Maintenance Co, 5015 N 34th St, Bldg 900, Forest Park, GA 30297-5122

The linked part of each listing above take you to the contact information for the sponsoring store.  Please call them for more details including verifying the dates, finding out the times, and location within the base or post.  Also, verify the details again before leaving your house, especially if you are travelling a distance.  Occasionally, sales details are changed or sales are cancelled when circumstances change.  It would be awful to travel and then discover that the sale has been cancelled or postponed.  (Especially in the winter, when weather can impact the movement of the goods to the sales site.)

The Guard and Reserve Sales schedule is always available at the Commissaries.com website, and updated information is put up as sales dates and details are confirmed.

These sales are a great way to utilize your commissary privileges without having to make a long drive to a commissary store.  Be sure to share this information with your retiree, National Guard, reservist, and remotely-located active duty friends.

Have you ever attended one of these Guard and Reserve sales?  Did you find that the products and prices were good for your family?
