The next MOAA Military Spouse Symposium will be held on Wednesday, 17 September 2014 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This event is free and open to all active duty, reserve, National Guard, retiree, veteran, and surviving military spouses, servicemembers, and veterans.
The event, which runs from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm, will include a panel discussion on policies and programs affecting military spouse career opportunities, workshops on resume writing, LinkedIn, entrepreneurship, and skills assessments, plus lunch with a guided discussion. Also, resume critiques and LinkedIn photographs will be available throughout the day.
I had the opportunity to speak at a MOAA Spouse Symposium several years ago, and it was an outstanding event. If you are in the area, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful program.
