Long Pay Period Alert! July 2012

If you are struggling to make ends meet, a long pay period can be a big problem.  It can be an even bigger problem if you don't notice it until it happens.  Well, be warned:  the second half of July is a whopper in the long pay period department.  There are 19 days between 13 July and 1 August.

Start planning your spending now to make sure that you don't run out of money before you run out of July.  Anticipating a problem?  Get creative.  Perhaps this is the right time to add a second income to your family, or to have that yard sale, or start eBaying your excess stuff.  Cut costs by turning down the AC, driving less, and planning your meals.

Find that you've added income and decreased costs, and it still isn't enough?  Avoid evil payday lenders and talk with your branches relief society.  Then, start figuring out how to organize your spending to build a little cushion for the next long one...it happens in the second half of December.
