The 31-member crew of the U.S. Navy EC-121M, call sign Deep Sea 129, which was shot down by North Korean fighter planes over the Sea of Japan in 1969, was remembered in a ceremony April 15, marking the 50th anniversary of the event. The commemoration included a wreath-laying ceremony and the firing of three volleys to honor the dead, along with remarks from Cmdr. Joe Overstreet, the son of Lt. Cmdr.
