Fishing Trip for Veterans

The Freedom Alliance, a charitable organization that supports the military and their families, will host eleven wounded service veterans October 17–23 for its annual fishing trip on Oregon's Rogue River. The trip starts with a visit to Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center in Grants Pass before their 65-mile journey launches at Almeda Park in Merlin. "Recreational therapy is so important for combat veterans. This allows them to enjoy outdoor activities once again, despite their traumas," said Tom Kilgannon, President of Freedom Alliance.
