Smith & Wesson Corp. today announced that the company has commenced shipping of the newest additions to its expanded M&P rifle series that feature Magpul M-LOK system.
The M&P15T and M&P15X rifles retain the original look and operating features of the company’s popular M&P15 rifle line but are enhanced with the versatility of the Magpul M-LOK modular lock system mounting platform, according to a Smith & Wesson press release.
“We are proud to continually deliver new and innovative additions to our M&P15 rifle series in order to meet the changing needs and wants of our fans and consumers,” said Jan Mladek, General Manager for the M&P and Smith & Wesson brands.
“We remain dedicated to developing the finest products possible. From the seasoned competitor to the professional user, these enhanced M&P15 rifles are a must-have for any shooting enthusiast.”
Jerry Miculek demonstrated the M&P15T’s capability during Industry Day at SHOT Show in January. A packed crowd was on hand to witness Miculek’s new speed record, which was set using the new M&P15T rifle, firing 10 shots on three targets in 1.59 seconds.
“Attempting speed records is never easy, but using the right equipment improves my chances. I really like what Smith & Wesson has done with the M&P15 rifle,” Miculek said.
