Military.com and Senator Mark Warner's Office Host Career Expo

MCLEAN, Va – Military.com will hold a free veterans career expo co-sponsored by the Office of U.S. Senator Mark Warner to help transitioning servicemembers find jobs.

The expo will be held tomorrow, March 29th, in Norfolk from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Hilton Norfolk Airport hotel. Senator Warner’s office will co-sponsor this event with Military.com will have representatives on hand to speak with veterans, active and reserve service members and their families about accessing federal benefits through the constituent services department, grant opportunities and much more.

“I am proud to be co-hosting three job fairs this month with Military.com,” Senator Warner said. “We have a responsibility to make sure that our military veterans are provided with information and access to diverse job opportunities after their service to our country, and Military.com does a great job connecting local businesses with this talented pool of veterans.”

Private, state and federal employers will be available to meet with potential applicants and discuss hiring opportunities.

“These career expos give veterans the ability to compete for quality jobs with organizations who realize the value in hiring a veteran. We’re honored to have Senator Warner as a co-sponsor for this effort,” said T. McCreary, President of Military.com and retired Navy Admiral.

Approximately 200,000 veterans transition from the military every year. Military.com, their parent company Monster.com, and non-profit partner, the Non Commissioned Officers Association present over 40 Career Expos across the country every year to connect veterans with employers and job opportunities.
